Today we left Napa, but made one more winery stop before saying goodbye. 16 years ago, Grgich Hills tasting room was a little shed in the middle of a pretty garden off the beaten path. Now they are a large, fancy place, but still with the pretty garden, right on the main drag. We enjoyed the tasting.
We are staying at the St. Albert Priory in Oakland. This is the room of me and Mark. The kids’ room is similar.
Here is the front door of the priory.
In the garden.
Looking at the chapel.
We went into San Francisco where it was sunny on the pier, but cloudy in the bay. We took at bay boat tour which was neat, but the Golden Gate Bridge was all foggy so we didn’t really get a chance to see it.
We did see Alcatraz, even though there was fog around it, it wasn’t as thick.
The guard barracks are in front, and the prison is up in the background.
It was chilly and windy on the boat.
We ate dinner at Bubba Gump’s which was fun and good.
Then we walked around Pier 39 and checked out the shops.
This one is for my sister. You know who you are!
This is the wine Mark & I enjoyed in the evening.
