Today we drove 370 miles from Colorado Springs to Amarillo TX. We went through New Mexico. The landscape was very different than what we’re used to. We had to drive through a couple of dust storms. Luckily, they were not big ones.
We stayed at an old Rt. 66 motel. It was great! We had dinner in the adjoining restaurant and it was also great! We had steak. Check out the kids’ blog here for more info on the dinner. Below is our motel room.
We had to close the shutters when it was time for bed.
Marty & Eddie were not pleased that we were staying in a room painted pink outside. It was so windy when we got there.
