Today we went up to Denver (about 70 miles) to visit with a couple of friends from graduate school. Dawn met us at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and then we met the rest of the family for lunch.
We didn’t have time to see they large Maya exhibit, but we could take a picture at the display.
We saw the wildlife exhibit where Charlie wanted his picture by all of the statues.
We also saw Exploration Health (We got personal swipe cards and could stop at a whole bunch of stations and then got a print-out of health at the end of it.), Space Odyssey and the Colorado Mining exhibit (picture below).
The Discovery Center opened today. Charlie really liked it, but Marty and Eddie were too old for it. Here they are with Dawn.
Me and Dawn.
Then we saw an IMAX 3-D movie about D-Day. After that we were more than ready for lunch. We had to wait a few minutes for our table and Charlie held the sign.
We had a lovely lunch eaten outdoors with Eldridge, Dawn, Tia and Audre. It was really great catching up with Eldridge and Dawn and meeting Tia & Audre.
