Day 15—Lubbock

Today we met Rob & Liam at the Yoga Bean coffee shop at 8:00. It was good that we got an early start, because our next stop was the auto shop where we found out we had a bolt in one of the front tire sidewalls. So, we got souvenir tires in Lubbock as well as St. Louis. Hoping and praying that nothing else happens to the van, especially to the tires.

Next we headed to the Buddy Holly Center which was really interesting. Charlie was not impressed with another museum, but it was small and that was OK.

Next stop was prairie dog town which is a prairie dog reserve in a park in Lubbock.

From there we headed to Texas Tech to meet Rob, Katie & Liam. Below are the kids in front of the music building.

Our next stop was Holy Spirit church which was beautiful. Rob showed us the organ. The kids all got to play it.

Then we went to Llano Estacado winery where Rob & I tasted (Katie was back to work) and Marty & Eddie toured. The kids were very impressed with how close everything was in Lubbock. We did so much, but not much driving or traffic in between.

We had another delicious dinner and said goodbye to the Lubbock crew.
