Great Smoky Mountain National Park

After the torrential downpour, we decided to drive into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It was really wet, so we didn't get out of the car except at some pull-offs. It was really neat and the views were amazing. The ones we could see. On the N. Carolina side, we were in the clouds and couldn't see much of anything. Yes, we ended up in N. Carolina for about 20 minutes yesterday.
Here are the kids at the TN/NC border.
We walked on the Appalachian Trail, just a couple of steps, but still!
Here is the upside down building in Pigeon Forge. It was kind of like Las Vegas, in a country kind of way. We have lots more pictures of fantastic buildings (the Titanic hitting an iceberg, etc). But the network here is really slow, so I won't subject you to them. : )
