Yes, today we spent most of the day in Chattanooga. We were exploring Lookout Mt., which is in TN, GA, and AL. We were in TN and GA today. It was very warm, but very interesting.
First we went to Rock City Gardens. It was laid out in the early ‘30’s by Frieda Carter who wound a path through, over, and under natural rock formations and planted native plants. It took us about 2 hours to walk through it all. The kids loved it. So did we. It was beautiful and amazing and relaxing. (And HOT!)
It was very bright. Charlie wanted to wear sunglasses.
Here are some of the trees.
You could see 7 states from this view (and off to each side).
This is called “Fat Man’s Squeeze.” It is very narrow!
Here is the rest of the waterfall we saw from the top.
Fairyland Caverns had all kinds of sculptures of fairy tales and nursery rhymes.
Little Miss Muffet.
