Catonsville’s big day is July 4 (or if the 4th is on Sunday, July 3). The parade starts at 3 and goes until about 5. Then the fireworks start about 9:30 and last 30-40 minutes. No pictures of fireworks this year, but they were good. I missed half of them though, Charlie started falling asleep watching them, so we headed off to bed.
Here are some parade pictures. Walking to the parade:
Waiting for it to start. It was a lovely day, with not too much humidity and a high of 87, but it still was hot in the sun.
The Lone Ranger was there this year.
This is our friend Fred who is a town crier. He participated in a competition in England last month.
One of many bands.
The fire trucks squirt the crowd and some people bring their super soakers and soak the fire truck.
Some of the kids sitting on the curb.
