CTY

We are reaching the end of CTY and projects and homework. Here is a glimpse into the life of the CTY attendees in the evenings.

001

Here is Marty talking to Uncle Kevin about the use of robots in car manufacturing. He had to research an aspect of the use of robots and he chose making cars. He discovered who invented their use in making cars, etc. He found out from Uncle Kevin that robots in the plant ride around following a specific color line. That was interesting because Marty has been programming his bots to follow colored lines.

002

Here is g working on his 12-line biographical poem. Apparently working without a shirt helps! He has written some very clever poems these past couple of weeks, and has had a lot of fun in his class. He mentioned that he will be mourning the end of CTY on Friday.

003

Here is Eddie putting the finishing touches on his contraption to protect a hard boiled egg dropped from the top of a building. He came up with the parachute/basket design on his own and Mark helped with the production. I asked what he would do if his contraption let the egg gets cracked. He looked at me quizzically and said, “Eat it?”
