We had an amazing extravaganza trip to Texas for Mom & Dad’s Golden Anniversary and family/friend reunion. We started out with a birthday gathering with 4 kids and families. The birthday girl asked for Grandpa Joe’s apple pie.
The next day I had to go to the dentist to get the healing screw of my dental implant screwed back in. It came out in the plane the day before! Luckily, Mom & Dad are good friends with their dentist. Thanks, Dr. Don! Because of that, the kids spent the day in the pool. Whataburger for lunch!
Thursday we tried to go to the zoo but after 20 minutes we still couldn’t find parking, so we went to the aquarium instead. We took one of the young cousins and ran into more cousins there. L. did not want to look at me at the beginning of the trip.
He didn’t know us well, and heard the other kids calling Mark, “Dad,” so he called Mark, “Dad,” to get his attention and show him the big fish. Later in the visit he learned Uncle Mark.
He’s not *quite* looking at me! But more than before!
OK, now I’ll look at Aunt Kate, but I won’t smile.
Loving the carousel with Uncle G.
Fantastic dinner at Tia Maria’s with 24 of our family members. Wonderful time.
Music for the anniversary couple!
