We had an archdiocesan homeschool Mass at the Basilica today. Marty served and Eddie read the first reading. There were 8 servers. Marty’s job was to carry in a candle and hold the book for the archbishop when he said, “Let us pray.” Other jobs servers had: hold mitre, hold crosier, carry crucifix, carry incense, carry candle, ring bells, assist at the altar. Both Marty & Eddie did very well. And we had a lovely Mass and a tour of the Basilica afterwards.
It’s a rainy day, so here’s a little friend who was waiting for us when we came home.
