Marty really enjoyed his week at zoo camp. He got to go behind the scenes, talk to keepers, and even have a meeting with the zoo president and CEO!
We were invited to a presentation today.
Mr. Pete brought animal ambassadors Wade, a bog turtle (above), Raphael, a box turtle (no picture), and Elvis, a California King Snake.
The campers cooperated to create a “new exhibit” for the zoo. Marty was on the enrichment and training team.
Here are the Florida panthers entering their exhibit. They live in the Everglades, so there were trees, bushes, rocks and a swamp in the exhibit.
Marty is demonstrating how to train the male panther.
