Today the Baltimore Sailabration begins. It is a week of festivities opening the bicentennial celebration of the War of 1812. We went to the Clifton Manor where they had re-enactors and Navy LeapFroggers doing a parachute show.
Ready, aim…
Fire!
There was a lot of waiting around. The LeapFroggers didn’t jump until about 45 minutes after we thought they were going to.
Here’s the plane. You can see that my camera, even on it’s fullest zoom, was not good enough to capture the show. But it was cool!
5 men jumped. 3 hooked up together and 2 hooked up together and did some tricks, including green smoke coming out when they were doing loop-de-loops. Then they separated again and did flips and zipped around and landed exactly where they were supposed to.
I was able to take pictures when they got a little closer.
Charlie is feeling the parachute.
Here is one of the jumpers.
They signed autographs and gave the kids stickers.
The re-enactors talking to the Navy support.
Eddie standing in line to get an autograph.
I only got pictures of 4 jumpers, but the kids got all 5 autographs.
