We went to Mt. Vernon on Nov. 4. It was homeschool days. It was a lot of fun, though crowded.
They had carnations for the children to place at Washington’s grave.
It was a little chilly and breezy, unfortunately.
Butter churning exhibit. They also had candle dipping, corn de-cobbing, and various other exhibits.
Charlie was brave and pet the oxen.
The hay maze was a must.
Charlie exuberantly throwing a corn cob dart (a little too quickly for the nice man!). He got all three of his darts through the hoop.
Listening to the explanation of threshing in the hexadecagon barn.
On the Potomac River.
The mansion.
Later that evening, Andy & Mark worked together on a chocolate pie for 1st Thanksgiving.
Mom holds Spit Fyre. Dad wouldn’t.
